All of the courses in this area are designed for use by a qualified course director/coordinator using online tools. These programs are also available in other formats (see below).

Fundamental Critical Care Support Course (FCCS)
This course addresses fundamental management principles for the first 24 hours of critical care. This course is ideal for the non-intensivist who needs to manage a critical care patient until appropriate care consultation or transfer can be arranged. It also provides an excellent foundation for residents and other trainees. Students take the course using an online system monitored by an instructor, who then provides the necessary skills training for the program. A comprehensive textbook is available for students along with teaching support materials for the instructor.   View course details.

Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support Course (PFCCS)

Resident ICU Course
The Resident ICU (RICU) courses are designed to familiarize the resident in training with issues faced in caring for the critically ill patient. This program is designed specifically for residents rotating through the ICU, but may also be used for training of medical students, nurses and others who will soon be exposed to the ICU. Students take the course using an online system monitored by an instructor. The course is available in Adult and Pediatric curriculums.   View course details.

Multidisciplinary Critical Care Knowledge Assessment Program (MCCKAP)
Curious as to whether or not your fellowship program measures up to others across the nation? Interested in assessing your fellows' knowledge of critical care both individually and as a group? MCCKAP provides an excellent method of determining strengths and weaknesses of your critical care fellowship program. The MCCKAP examination is available in both adult and pediatric formats. Other Formats Available
Some of the above programs are also available in a format suitable for online self-directed individual education without the assistance of an instructor. Additionally, the FCCS, PFCCS and FDM courses are available in a traditional, live instructor led format which can be hosted at any institution, meeting or other face-to-face learning event by a qualified instructor.
